Bollywood consents to comply with the 15-day Curfew in Maharashtra with a certain condition
The coordination advisory group of the Film Industry has consented to help and maintain the 15-day curfew rules set up by the Maharashtra Chief Minister in his address to the state on Tuesday evening. Notwithstanding, it accompanies a rider. The Committee wants the public authority to stretch out financial assistance to day by day wage laborers of the Industry as the CM has assured for real estate laborers and Rickshaw drivers.
Ashok Dubey, President of the FWICE said, "We are going to follow the curfew and therefore all shootings will be put on hold till April 30. But we would want the government to financially help our daily wage workers, We have the entire list with account numbers which we can share with the government. The daily wagers of the industry are first to get hit once a shooting stops or is on hold. We don't want another exodus scenario and therefore request the CM to help our industry workers too like he is helping in the other sectors".
Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, on Tuesday, had announced that the real estate industry will be permitted to work relying on the prerequisite that construction laborers can remain on-site and work. Dubey further added that " We would want the government to allow us to complete the construction of the sets that are under construction we will make sure that our setting workers stay at the location till the completion and follow Covid appropriate norms too.''
At the point when asked about the strategy in the event that the curfew/lockdown are stretched out past 15 days, he said "We are worried about that, therefore, like the IPL which is allowed to continue in a bio-bubble, we will be writing to the CM for the same permission.''
