Music Director Wajid Khan passes away at 42
Mumbai: Music director Wajid Khan of musical duo Sajid-Wajid passed away on early hours Monday in a Mumbai hospital at 42 due to kidney infection-related complications. He was famous for his work for Salman Khan's popular movies such as Wanted, Dabangg and Ek Tha Tiger.
Soon after his death, several news reports emerged that claimed he succumbed to the novel coronavirus.
In an interaction with news agency PTI, music composer Salim Merchant confirmed the cause of Khan's death. He revealed that the singer-composer was admitted to Chembur's Surana Hospital a few days ago where his condition deteriorated.
